This is a patch to make NFS3 use DirectX 6 instead of the DX5 that comes with the retail box. This patch will make NFS3 support more 3d acelerator and also to improve image quality as well as performance.

1. The files: voodoo2a.dll and d3da.dll are taken from NFS4 High Stakes demo, put them into your NFS3 directory to overwrite the old ones.
 
2. Merge 3D Data.reg into your windows registry.

3. If you have a V2, V3 or Banshee card, merge Voodoo 2.reg into your windows registry.

4. TNT users can merge the TNT.reg into their windows registry, all other 3d cards owner can modify this file to optimise for their card.


Benefits:

TNT users will see a dramatic improvement in visual quality: no more green smoke or ugly night sky, and DX6 means better performance and compatibility.

3dfx cards owner will see an improvement in speed and it will provide the best visual quality over all other cards.
